If your oven taking longer than it should to cook your meals, maybe oven not reaching temperature settings. The problem may be that your oven isn't getting hot enough due to failed heating element or oven thermostat. Gas oven may have defective oven igniter or even plugged or damaged gas burner. If the gas burner is plugged you can clean it with steel brush. Failed oven igniter need to be replaced.

We do not recommend DIY work replacing oven elements, thermostat or igniters. But if you decide to try, it IMPORTANT to disconnect the electricity before any work.
